My goal as a photographer and artist is to make the viewer try to understand my purpose and thought process while creating the image. My photos give a preview into my life, usually my subconscious thoughts and ideas. My favorite part of the artistic process in photography is directing the models. Since many were my friends and family, I worked to combine their personalities with my ideas and create harmony.
This year in photography, I enjoyed being in control of how my photos were printed. By independently printing my photos in a dark room setting, I gained experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Not everyone gets an experience like this.
My friends and family always inspire me to do, be, and act better. They teach me to always strive for greatness. They also inspire me to model their behaviors or stories in my photographs. I choose themes for my photographs based on my thoughts and views on the world and society. I believe my photographs have the potential to be powerful and with more experience, I’d love to expand my horizons and change the world.
